Microbiota and Hepatobiliary Diseases: New Features in the Treatment of Infants

O.H. Shadrin, N.F. Cherneha

Abstract

In infants with hepatitis, clinically significant dysbiotic disorders of the intestine are observed. The state of intestinal flora is characterized by a deficiency of resident microflora, increased number and changes in species ratio of opportunistic bacteria. Application of Enterol® (Saccharomyces boulardii) in children with intestinal dysbiosis and liver disease has a positive impact on the course of the disease, would reduce diarrheal disorders and restore intestinal microflora.
